Co-Founder & Physician

Peoria/Glendale

Dr. Patrick W. Hogan, co-founder of AZ Pain Doctors, specializes in minimally invasive pain management procedures that can identify and treat the source of acute and chronic pain.

Patients will find that Dr. Hogan’s Peoria/Glendale practice has something to offer everyone because of his multidisciplinary approach to pain care. AZ Pain Doctors offers comprehensive pain management care including interventional procedures, chiropractic care, acupuncture, medication management, and supportive durable medical equipment (lumbar support braces, custom knee braces, etc.).

Committed to caring for West Valley residents since 2009, Dr. Hogan became interested in the field of pain medicine while completing a clinical rotation in the Comprehensive Pain Management Center at The Cleveland Clinic. He quickly realized that he wanted to spend his career trying to reduce or eliminate his patients’ pain. There, he witnessed first-hand how modern technology, cutting-edge research, education, and a multidisciplinary approach can be used to improve patients’ quality of life.

As a result of his compassionate and personalized approach to patient care, Dr. Hogan has been awarded the Patients’ Choice Award and Compassionate Physician award by Vitals.com.

In addition to being double-board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, he has a broad depth of clinical experience. Dr. Hogan completed his training at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, a hospital that is consistently ranked in the Top 4 Hospitals in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. His pain management training included mentoring by several world-famous pain physicians such as Michael Stanton-Hicks, MD, Leonardo Kapural, MD, and Nagy Mekhail, MD, PhD.

Dr. Hogan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is the Past President of the Arizona Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (AZSIPP), an organization dedicated to preserving patients’ access to high-quality pain care.

An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Hogan is an Eagle Scout who enjoys golf, skiing, travel, and physical fitness.

My inspiration for going into medicine was shadowing my mother, a cancer unit nurse, and seeing the difference that the healthcare professions can make in patients’ lives.
